Oscar Pistorius Sentenced to 5years.


Oscar Pistorius was taken away in a police van Tuesday to start serving a five-year prison sentence for killing girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp.A South African judge cited the "gross negligence" the Olympic runner showed when he shot Steenkamp multiple times through a toilet cubicle door in his home when she delivered the sentence. Pistorius' prison term begins immediately.Pistorius could be released after 10 months in jail to serve the remainder under house arrest, according to legal experts.

Farmer Stabs Wife To Death In Ogun

A 47-year-old farmer, Gbenga Ogunfolabo has been arrested by the police in Ogun State for stabbing his wife, Bosede Ogunfolabo, 45, to death with broken bottle during a fisticuff. The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Muyiwa Adejobi, disclosed this in a statement. According to him, the police detectives attached to Ishara division of the command arrested the suspect on Monday, July 21 at Ishara in Remo North Local Government Area of the state few days after he committed the crime.
