Jonathan places Nigerian flag designer, Pa. Akinkunmi on a ‘life salary’

President Goodluck Jonathan has placed  Pa Taiwo Akinkunmi, the designer of the Nigerian Flag, on the salary of a Special Assistant forever, according to a tweet by the Special Assistant to the President on New Media, Reno Omokri (@renoomokri).

Taiwo Akinkunmi is a Retired Nigerian civil servant (born 10 May 1936) and famous for designing the Flag of Nigeria, popular called Mr Flag Man.

An unnamed Nigerian man has been arrested in Nairobi, Kenya, on Wednesday, 23 July, 2014 after the cocaine he was allegedly carrying burst in his belly. According to reports, the middle-aged man had arrived at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi from Lagos. The incident was said to happen while the Nigerian traveller was still on transit and he was immediately hospitalised.
