NEW POLICE PRO APPOINTED


A Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Emmanuel Ojukwu, has been appointed the Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO).
He takes over from Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), Frank Mba, who has been redeployed to Lagos as Area Commander.

President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan yesterday approved the appointment of new chief executives for the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) and the Nigerian Petroleum Development Company (NPDC). Mr. Jonathan chose Joseph Thlama Dawha as the NNPC’s Group Managing Director, NNPC. Mr. Dawha, who is from Borno State to replace Andrew Yakubu. Farmer Stabs Wife To Death In Ogun

A 47-year-old farmer, Gbenga Ogunfolabo has been arrested by the police in Ogun State for stabbing his wife, Bosede Ogunfolabo, 45, to death with broken bottle during a fisticuff. The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Muyiwa Adejobi, disclosed this in a statement. According to him, the police detectives attached to Ishara division of the command arrested the suspect on Monday, July 21 at Ishara in Remo North Local Government Area of the state few days after he committed the crime.
