The Police Public Relations Officer, Frank Mba, on Wednesday in Abuja said international terror organizations use female suicide bombers in attacks because they are less suspicious. Mr. Mba, who was answering questions at the National Information Centre, said the use of females in suicide attacks is not new. “Established international terror organisations use female suicide bombers, the major reason is because women generally raise fewer suspicion, particularly when there are security layers. “If you have been following the trend of terrorism worldwide, you will understand that the use of a female suicide bomber is not new. “But, it is a new trend in our own part of the world”, he said. The force spokesperson, however, said a new counter-terrorism strategy was being developed to address the new trend in the country. “We are developing counter-terrorism strategies to deal with that. “By our rules of engagement and by our culture too, male security operatives ...

The lawmakers who met at Karu Locak Government Area near Abuja away from the House of Assembly Complex in Lafia, the state capital, to deliberate on the petition filed against the composition of the panel by a group, Nasarawa Concerned Citizens, accused the Chief Judge of not following the constitution in his composition of the seven-man panel. The lawmakers asked the Chief Judge to reconstitute the panel. Following fears that they might be attacked by supporters of Governor Umaru Al-Makura who have been protesting moves by the lawmakers of the state to impeach him, the lawmakers on Wednesday relocated to Karu Local Government Area, a remote area of the state to discuss the petition submitted against the state Chief Judge, Suleiman Dikko, over the comp...

If I expose the demons in APC, Nigeria will burn – Fani-Kayode

Image
“Simply put, the Haramites in the APC cannot be trusted with power. It is as simple as that. They are the greater evil and they are the greatest of all evils. They are the darkness that seeks the darkness. Whether we like to accept it or not, PDP is the only party that can stop them from winning power at the centre in Nigeria and that is why I have gone back to that party. “If I choose to speak out, fight back and tell the world who and what they are, what they represent, how they love to shed blood, their relationship with Boko Haram, the truth about Chibok [abducted girls] and the role some of their leaders played in it, their Islamist agenda, their links with the Middle East and the Arab world, their born-to-rule mentality, their desire to use the South West and later dump them, their utter disdain for southerners, the Middle Belt, the northern minorities, the moderate Muslims and the Christian community and so much more this country will burn. “For 38 years, they enjoyed p...
